Tim Van Den Bossche is a postdoctoral researcher in the CompOmics lab of Prof. Lennart Martens at the VIB-UGent Center for Medical Biotechnology and Ghent University, Belgium. He completed his PhD in 2022, focusing on improving data analysis methods in metaproteomics and benchmarking their performance - of which the latter led to the CAMPI study, the first community-driven benchmark study in the field. Tim is a co-founder and co-administrator of the Metaproteomics Initiative, an international community dedicated to advancing metaproteomics. Through this Initiative, he actively fosters collaboration and promotes the dissemination of foundational concepts, cutting-edge advancements, and applications in microbiome research. In his postdoctoral role, Tim continues to improve metaproteomics data analysis methods while driving the Initiative's growth and impact in the proteomics and microbiome community.
